Your Skills
- Completed degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Simulation Science, or a related field.
- Experience in data preparation, data analysis, and data visualization, ideally working with complex process or time-series data.
- Knowledge of simulation methods, especially Discrete Event Simulation and/or Agent-Based Simulation.
- Strong programming skills, e.g., in Python (pandas, numpy, simpy, mesa, or comparable frameworks)
- Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to model complex processes in a structured way.
- Experience in medical, industrial, or regulated environ-ments is a plus, but not required.
- Independent and structured working style, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong curiosity, self-driven work style, and a research-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for medical challenges with real-world impact
Your Tasks
- Analyze, prepare, and interpret process data from surgical planning and the manufacturing of patient-specific implants.
- Identify patterns, bottlenecks, and optimization potential across complex medical and technical processes.
- Design and build a simulation environment to retrospectively simulate processes, test new approaches, and evaluate different scenarios.
- Apply Discrete Event Simulation (DES) and/or Agent-Based Simulation (ABS) to model real-world workflows.
- Collaborate closely with medical experts, development teams, and production teams to validate models from a domain perspective.
- Document and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Your Salary
The annual salary is 44.450€ gross on a full-time basis according to the IT collective agreement.
Willingness to pay more based upon qualifications and experience.
