  • Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience in Medical Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Strong interest in research-driven innovation and long-term scientific leadership.
  • Ability to think systemically and understand the “big picture” of complex medical-technical systems.
  • Experience or solid knowledge in at least two of the following:
    –Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
–Simulation (e.g., structural mechanics, CFD, discrete event simulation)
–Statistical Shape Modeling / Geometric Modeling
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently drive research questions.
  • Solid programming skills (Python required; C++, R, or similar languages are a plus)
  • Ability to think systemically and understand the “big picture” of complex medical-technical systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently drive research questions.
  • Experience with numerical simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS) is a strong advantage.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into interdisciplinary environments.
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ambition to take on increasing scientific and strategic responsibility.

In this role, you will act as a scientific all-rounder with a broad methodological understanding and growing responsibility
within the biomedical domain. You will work across topics and engage with a wide range of interdisciplinary challenges.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Bring your holistic understanding of medical techno logies to actively contribute to our projects in the fields of medical AI, (numerical) simulation and statistical shape modeling.
  • Contributing to the conceptualization, analysis and further development of AI-based medical applications.
  • Developing, analyzing and evaluating new methodo logical approaches for modeling medical systems and processes.
  • Working with statistical shape models to investigate anatomical variability and patient-specific geometries.
  • Supporting the development and evaluation of medical simulation and analysis environments.
  • Analyzing medical data (imaging data, process data, statistical evaluations) and deriving well-founded conclusions.
  • Close interdisciplinary collaboration with experts from medicine, engineering and research.
  • Documenting research results and contributing to internal reports, scientific publications and project proposals.
  • Gradually assuming responsibility for coordinating research activities and mentoring junior team members.

Competitive Salary

Instead of corporate policy, you will find collaboration with committed people on an equal footing. Mutual respect and appreciation are very important to us. Our family-like working environment provides the framework for close teamwork and allows sufficient freedom for the individual development of all employees. In the right environment, work is fun—our benefits play a secondary role.
